I did not find an option to remove the password from the PDFs

Password removal is not really necessary since the only password required by PDF readers is the one to decrypt the file and you can let SumatraPDF remember the opener password for repeated opening. Thus in effect goes **as far as is required** without total change all the file contents by edit or reprint. To permanently remove a password encoded file use GhostScript to Convert all the content into a different set of PDF pages. There are others but GhostScript should be the most reliable (apart from Acrobat Pro) as often used by password removal sites.
