PMCno i simply use every corner of the internet as some kind of diary, christmas wish list or online pillory to bully people i never met before but already hating them (mostly on imgur since on pastebin the police caught me immediately threatening airbnb for banning me from their platform)

i didn't mean uwp, i have meant appx. since uwp is dead at the end of year 2022. with appx i mean you know ms store (there is no windows app store, just microsoft store).

I'don't see why this feature should be realized. I just uninstalled all Affinitiy .msix Installations simply to reinstall them as .msi Installations (luckily, they have been reintroduced by Serif after tons of user complaints)! The reson for this was, that the .msix Installation can not be startetd with a link from a picture viewer - I think that is something many of us need for SumatraPDF too. Serif had first published some ways to circumvent this problem, but it did not seem to work for all people. --- In addition, a heretical thought: Should we really be helping MS to provide Windows applications in a big black box, where the developers become dependent on the manufacturer? Please have look on 'Apple's New Fees Will Kill Free Apps' (youtube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6dbNzFD0zM. Earlier or later this will happen anyway - but _any_ App not in MS Store delays the process...

Please do not convert to App and leave the exe. Apps are fat, slow, they take up a lot of memory... The best thing about SumatraPDF is that it is super fast, lightweight, installs in seconds, starts instantly... At least keep publishing the .exe file too

That would be bad if it is the only way to install since I don't use Windows App Store. That would be a showstopper for me.
