Option to remove x on tabs

Notepad++ has an option to remove the x in every tab. Together with middle mouse to close the tab, I have never accidentally closed a tab again. With many tabs open in Sumatra, this becomes quite a problem, especially since with enough tabs open, there is nothing else to click on than x.

The request of the poster and the ideas of the commenters are wonderful, and I hope they will be implemented. As another solution, I think it would be good to have a “pin tab” option.

Or at least give a shortcut to reopen last, accidently closed tab, or give a function to remember the file name which closed last, because we could not identify which one we accidently closed while selecting one among multiple files, say in between 10 to 20 opened tabs.

As an inveterate tab-hoarder, I must say this is a great idea. A related much needed option is to copy Chrome's right click option for "Re-open last closed tab".
